Mofest is a ready-to-use intravenous infusion containing Moxifloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic. This 400mg dose in 250ml of solution is indicated for the treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections, community-acquired pneumonia, and complicated intra-abdominal infections (in combination with other antibiotics). It is reserved for serious bacterial infections where the benefits outweigh the risks of serious side effects associated with fluoroquinolones.
