Ecasil 400mg contains Linezolid, a synthetic antibiotic belonging to the oxazolidinone class. It is used for the treatment of serious infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria that are resistant to other antibiotics, such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE), and hospital-acquired pneumonia. Linezolid works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis
