It is primarily prescribed for the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia) and is also used to reduce bleeding during and after surgery (especially in procedures like cardiac surgery, orthopedics, or in patients with bleeding disorders). Additionally, it can be used for nosebleeds (epistaxis) and hereditary angioedema.
